Thanks for praying for our summer!!!

This summer the Central NE Team was blessed in the pouring out of their lives in ministry to children- Praise God with us for the rewarding months of ministry He gave us, for giving us grace each step of the way, for blessing us with friends who pray and help us fight the spiritual battles waged over childrens' souls, for some incredible financial gifts that helped cover nearly all of our travel expenses and supplies for the summer, for the children God brought to Himself, and for the surrendered lives of the CYIA'ers who so willing gave up their entire summer for reaching children for Christ!!

::The Clubs in Holdrege::

" I Pledge Allegiance..."
Playing Popcorn with the memory verse.
The kids loved this game... so did the teachers!

At our two clubs we were able to share the gospel with 20 children, praise God 3 of them accepted Christ as their Savior! Their names are Tate, Jon and Sophia (the girl in the picture.) They come from very difficult family backgrounds. So please pray for them. Specifically, God would bring believers into their paths to help them grow and that they would be able to be a shining light to their family and friends!

Singing, praying, learning, and having lots of fun!

"No More Pictures!"

There were 107 pictures from these 2 clubs and it was hard to choose from all of them ... But, I thought this one just had to be put on here!

Thank you all for your prayers this summer!

The children are getting ready to head back to school and will be faced with many challenges. Many of them have heard the Gospel this summer because of the 5-day clubs. Please continue praying for the seeds that have been planted, for those who have been challenged in their walk with God, and for those who will boldly take their faith into the schools. Remembering that these are our future leaders.

Update Day 2!

The Clubs are continuing to go well. We had one little girl yesterday that accepted Christ! (Picture coming soon, blogger won't upload right now:)

We've had alot of assurances and kids that have come back to ask questions. So it's been a joy (and sometimes a challenge) to answer them and see their eyes light up with understanding! :)

The four kids we prayed about DID come back!!!! We were really happy. And their Mom said they would all be back! :) Praise The Lord!

Please continue to pray...this is a HUGE Church and they expect alot from us. The Senior Pastor visited our last Club of the day (that all of us teach together) and absolutely LOVED it. He even talked about trying to get some of their youth to go to CYIA! Which was an answer to prayer. But, I'm not sure what the Children's Director thinks....I kind of got the impression she was wanting something a little more "cool" but the kids seem to be having a good time. :)

::Photo By: Addie...:) She's proud of this one!::

Thanks once again for all of your prayers!!!!

God Bless, Amy

Prayer Requests:
~Those from the Church would like the Five Day Clubs.

Hastings, NE Clubs

Pray for Amy, Eliza, Joanna, and Luke K.
as they teach in Hastings and Fairfield this week!

Lincoln, NE! End-of-week update

We have just concluded a GREAT week in Lincoln!
15 kids total attended our VBS, and we had 2 professions of faith. In the evenings, we helped our friends Viktoryia and Diana teach a 5 Day Club. The kids were mainly Russian, and we had a lot of fun with them!

V B S!
As you can see, we had a very enthusiastic and fun group of kids at VBS!
On Friday, they all came 2 hours early to VBS...and stayed 2 hours after it was over! It was neat to just spend time with them, building friendships with them. They all totally loved Eliza...the only way we could get them to go home was to hide her in the basement! ;)

We were praying together as a team after VBS was over (thinking we had successfully sent all the kids home!), when Tre (above) came back in and sat down. We just kept praying for all the kids, while he listened. He left before we were finished, and we really were hoping to get a chance to talk to him more...one of the other kids said he came back in to pray with us! So please pray for God to work in Tre's heart...

Lincoln VBS Update!

Some of
Our COOL

"Secret Agents"

It's Class Time!

Cupcakes for Snack...YUM!!!

HaNdPaInTiNg!!

THE UPDATE!
The VBS has gone really well! We have had two kids accept Christ and two assurances! Praise The Lord!!! We also had a few more kids that came today...so attendance has grown from 5 to 11!

Most of these kids come from broken and very difficult homes.

One little boy was just way to "cool" to be coming to VBS. So we were trying to find a way to get him to come out of his "shell." Day one passed and he was still very distant...come day two though, Eliza had some bubbles (that we usually use for preschoolers) and was just killing time by blowing them. Well, this tough little guy thought that was so funny! And before we knew it, he was up chasing bubbles! :)

At first these skateboarding, bike riding, Mohawk shaved, blue haired, ear pierced, stunt dude kids weren't to sure about these six girls in skirts telling them Bible stories! But by the end of the day they were all interacting and having a great time!!! :)

But, please keep praying for us as we try to be creative! :)

Prayer Requests:
~All of the Children
~Those that have accepted Christ would grow in the Lord.
~Continued protection.
~We could be Creative!!

Praise:
~The extra kids that came today!
~Two Salvations!
~All fun we've all had with the kids! :)

Lauren!

Lauren is an 8 year old girl that has been coming to our third club of the day in Gothenburg. Every day has been a challenge with this girl. Climbing the tree, running around during the whole club, absolutely refusing to sit down and listen (even for a minute!), etc...
WELL, today Amy was contemplating merging our third club with the first- since we had only 3 girls attending our third club of the day, and they live in the general area of our first club.
SO, we arrived all prepared to switch things on our hostess. :) Lauren was the only girl to show up...and our hostess thought we should go ahead and try it with just her today.
We all sat down in the shade of the tree, and Lauren made herself at home on Amy's lap. (After a quick climb up the tree that is... We were beginning to wonder if it was a hopeless endeavor to teach club to one child who won't sit still!) It wasn't my day to teach the Bible lesson, but Joanna wasn't feeling well- and we had left her behind so she could rest. So, I started with the memory verse (which Lauren promptly reminded us was one she alread knew from Awana--and that she was already b-o-r-e-d). But I went ahead and taught her the actions, and explained the verse to her. After this, she begged for a story! So, I reviewed yesterdays lesson (which she totally missed out on due to her tree-climbing, and running-around-the-house habit of the day before ;). She began to calm down and even interact some as I went through the lesson. Being the only child in club, it was easy to make the lesson very personal to her life! As I pointed out various truths--she would just grow wide-eyed "REALLY??". She was amazed to hear that God knew all about her before He even made her, and that her sin put Jesus on the cross. She grew pretty serious as I finished with an invitation, and asked her if she belonged to Jesus. She promptly replied "No, I need to pray!!!". She hardly gave me time to explain any further...and prayed to receive Jesus into her life! It was amazing. Just pray that her life would truly be changed and turned around- and that others would see the difference that only God can make!

Update On The Gothenburg & Cozad Clubs!

NEWS FLASH!!!: Pray for Kristin and I as we give a Children's Ministry Workshop to present some new idea's and ways to reach children for christ to Awana teachers, Five Day Hostess's and the VBS committee from First Baptist Church in Gothenburg! It's tonight at 7:30. Thanks for Praying! We may be presenting a seconed Workshop tomorrow.

Week In General: This past week has gone really well. We've had an average of four to eleven kids at each Club.

The Hostess, Esther, is so amazing! She's an elderly lady that has been reaching kids for many years! She has been a great encouragement to me.

All of the Clubs were changed at the last minute to a different date then she was planning, so she got the phone book out and called as many kids as she could remember from the year before and then went door to door! She has worked so hard the past few days to be sure all the kids know about Five Day Club.
She has also paid for us to stay at a Bed & Breakfast the whole week!!! God has so blessed us:)

Club 1: Has had about eight to eleven kids every day. We had one little girl accept Christ!! So be praying for her as she grows in the Lord.

Club 2: Is a preschool Club and lots of fun!! This kids are great to work with and love the games!! :)

Club 3: The last Club of the day only had three girls. Two of them are twelve and rather shy the third one is very difficult to work with.

Praise Reports:
~One little girl accepted Christ today!! Praise the Lord!!!

~We have a wonderful hostess.

~Opportunity to teach a Children's Ministry Workshop.

Prayer Requests:
~Club #3
~Wisdom for our Worshop presentation.

~A little girl named Lauren.

~Travel Safety.

~Mackenzie to grow in Christ! :)

PRAY!

We have an exciting opportunity tomorrow (Wednesday) night to present an impromptu workshop at the 1st Baptist Church in Gothenburg. Pray for Amy and I as we work up a presentation on open-air evangelism, and other teaching helps for working with kids. Some of the AWANA teachers from this church, and 5 Day Club hostesses will be attending.

We are excited to have this opportunity, but just pray for us as we prepare to do this workshop at such short notice...
THANK YOU!!
